Last week, INCULS along with various BIPA professionals converged in the Workshop of Textbook Mapping Preparation (Lokakarya Penyusunan Peta Materi Buku Ajar). The three-day workshop was held at the Prime Plaza Hotel from the 25th to the 27th of March 2022. Emphasizing on the need for a new, updated version of textbooks belonging exclusively to INCULS, the workshop was met with active enthusiasm from staffs and academics that were specially invited.
Dr. Wira Kurniawati, S.S., M.A., current Coordinator of INCULS, officiated the start of the workshop with a comprehensive briefing regarding the new direction that INCULS wanted to take with the upcoming textbooks. Other opening remarks were uttered by Prof. Dr. Wening Udasmoro, S.S., M.Hum., DEA as Chairperson of Language Center FIB UGM and Drs. Suharsono, M.Hum, as the reviewer of B1 & B2 books.

The first workshop, titled “Indonesian Language”, will be taught by Guru Hanny and Guru Titis. It is scheduled on Friday, April 1st 2022 through Zoom Conference and will be executed in two different class levels:

Registration for the Intensive/Private Program Indonesian Language Class is now open! Customize your Indonesian Language learning experience with INCULS UGM’s Intensive/Private Program. This is a tailor-made program suited to the student’s own arrangement, so you can adjust the program according to your needs and availability. Register yourself through admission.ugm.ac.id/registration/ anytime as the registration is open all year long without deadlines.
As per the publication of this announcement, INCULS UGM offers both online and offline classes. Students are free to choose whichever class works best for their need.
Registration for the Regular Program Indonesian Language Class is now open! This program is a 15-17 weeks (1 semester) program which will commence from August to December 2022. Register yourself through admission.ugm.ac.id/registration before May 17th, and pay close attention to the registration timeline as to not miss any deadlines.
As for the Regular Program, INCULS UGM offers offline classes. Students are welcomed to visit Indonesia and attend the classes in UGM.

In order to prepare KNB program learning in the even semester this year 2022, INCULS held virtual meetings with teaching staffs, students, and tutors. The meetings were held separately, each on Friday, January 28th at 13.00 WIB for teachers; Friday, February 4th at 20.00 WIB for students; and Thursday, February 8th at 15.00 WIB for tutors. Those meetings emphasized several matters including socializing UGM hybrid learning plan (60% of online and 40% of offline), reminding the goal of the program and motivating students to be more eagerly learning Indonesian language so they are viable to study and adapt at UGM, and to seek for solutions regarding the study evaluation of the previous semester.
On Monday (10/1/202) the Faculty of Cultural Sciences UGM conducted a coordination meeting among its units. The meeting has been attended by the Dean; Deputy Dean of Academic and Student Affairs; Deputy Dean of Research, Community Service, and Cooperation; Deputy Dean of Finances, Assets, and Human Resources; chiefs and coordinators of units and staffs of Faculty of Cultural Sciences. This meeting, as the dean wishes for, aims to get the chiefs and coordinators to cooperate and improve the service quality in the faculty.

Registration for the Intensive Program Indonesian Language Online Class is now open! This program is a tailor-made program, so the program will be more flexible and suit your needs, goals, and budget. Students are grouped in the beginner, intermediate, and advanced classes based on the result of the placement tests. All subjects are taught by professors of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada. At the end of the course, each student will receive an E-Certificate of completion and an E-Transcript signed by the Dean of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada. Anyways, INCULS is still offering online classes as this information was published. However, the possibility for offline classes will be updated following the UGM policy responding to the Indonesian Government reopening policy for international students.
